New York State Route 140 is a state highway in New York. The highway runs from the hamlet of Slingerlands to the hamlet of Elsmere. NY 140 is entirely located within Albany County.

NY 140 starts as a four-lane divided highway for the first mile, having one intersection along the way before a light at Kenwood Avenue. There, NY 140 turns left and is a 2-lane avenue to its terminus. Albany County Route 52 continues straight ahead. To the right, Kenwood Avenue serves as a shortcut to NY 85 west.
