[edit] Route description
The south end of the highway is near the former Tutelo village of Coreogonel, at the confluence of Buttermilk Creek and the Cayuga Lake inlet, just south of the entrance to Buttermilk Falls State Park. The highway follows the west bank of the Cayuga Flood Control Channel into the city.
The north end of the highway is at NY 79 and Elm Street in Ithaca's West End, which once was dominated by squatters' villages.[2]
