New York State Route 131 is a 12.45 mile long state highway in St. Lawrence County. It serves as a coastal alternate route to New York State Route 37, going around the village of Massena instead of through it.
The current alignment of NY 131 was once New York State Route 37B.

[edit] Pre-1972 Yorktown Alignment
Prior to 1972, NY 131 was a highway in Westchester County, New York, entirely within the Town of Yorktown. It was decommissioned in 1972 and turned over to the town. Today, it is known as part of Underhill Avenue, and is assigned Westchester County Route number 131.
