New Waltham's population has increased greatly since the year 2000, with many houses being built to cater for the ever expanding population. Many people have moved into the area because of the relatively cheap house prices, and this has shown how market forces work as house prices have more that doubled since the year 2000. New Waltham has three schools; Enfield Primary School, New Waltham Primary School and the secondary, TollBar Business and Enterprise College which is the largest in the region.
