New Values is Iggy Pop's third solo album and his first without David Bowie being involved in any way. It was recorded in 1979 for Arista Records and was the first collaboration of Iggy and James Williamson since Kill City. The album reached number 180 at Billboard top 200 album chart. Videos were made for "I'm Bored" and "Five foot One".
New values is the first Iggy's album for Arista and it is considered as his best from Arista years. Some fans preferred it to albums made in collaboration with Bowie.
