[edit] Notes

New Paris is the home of Old Time Pizza, a family-owned restaurant with a checkered past. Old Time Pizza was known throughout the region as a haven for social deviants. In 1934, Baby Face Nelson and John Dillinger stopped at Old Time Pizza to discuss plans for robbing a bank in nearby South Bend. Local legend has it that Nelson was furious his pizza only had 21 pepperoni slices on it, demanding that anything less than 25 "was a crime." Dillinger allegedly stabbed the cashier in the hand with a fork, and Baby Face took the opportunity to drop a deuce on the doorstep of the premises.

The crown jewel of the New Paris townscape is Sunnyside Park. Developed by renowned architect Clarence Stein, the park features breathtaking foliage and a state-of-the-art playground. The main attraction of the park, by Stein's own admission, is the majestic "Duck Pond." The intricate design was partly inspired by the Palace of Versailles as an homage to the town's namesake. The estimated cost of the Duck Pond project was reportedly $4.6 million and required six years to complete. In 1992, Sunnyside Park was chosen as America's Most Beautiful Park by the National Library for the Blind.

New Paris is also home to "The DMF". A Jackass-style group. They have often been know to cause havic in the town.

"We need to liven the place up." Shawn Looney (a DMF member) has told the police officers that break up their antics.
