New Orleans Handicap

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The New Orleans Handicap is a race for thoroughbred race horses run at Fair Grounds Race Course each year. The race is open to horses, age three and up, willing to race one and one-eighth miles on the dirt. The New Orleans carries a purse of $500,000.

Wild Again, the winner of the very first Breeders' Cup Classic, took this race in 1984.
