Jake Ryan, a handsome and famous television star, is transferring to Miley and Lilly's school. As soon as he arrives, a reporter is filming a "documentary" about his new school life, and Lilly (along with every other girl in the class) immediately falls head over heels with him. However, Miley sees behind his handsome face and sees him as big headed and annoying because Jake is showing off his superstardom. Miley becomes jealous because she is Hannah Montana, but Lilly and Oliver tell Miley that when she's not Hannah Montana, they could get all the respect and extra things(eating in class and double sized Locker) that Jake got.
Due to anger and stress, Miley tells the reporter that she is Hannah Montana. The reporter doesn't believe her, but Miley (again due to anger and stress) tells the reporter her address, so Miley can prove it. However Jake talks to Miley in private, that he likes the superstardom, but likes Miley because she is seeing the real Jake, not the superstar. And Jake wishes he can turn the fame and fortune off because it can get annoying. At this part, Jake is swept with his fans, and Miley realizes she made a mistake telling the reporter about her being Hannah Montana. With her dad, the family acts crazy so the reporter leaves--it worked. Miley decides if she's going to tell someone she's Hannah Montana, she's going to be extra sure it's the right decision.
Subplot---Jackson gets a new used car. When he's about to go on a date, Jackson starts the car, but the battery dies. Jackson convinces his dad(Robby) to take his new car, which is much better, to take his girlfriend on a date. When Robby takes Jackson's car to replace the battery, a truck accidentally rips the car door of Jackson's car. In order to hide this, he forgives all of Jackson's mistakes. Jackson eventually finds out and Robby has to do all his desires until the car door is fixed.

- When Jake reveals he likes Miley, Miley starts to have a crush on Jake--this becomes the problems of the episodes "People Who Use People" and "Good Golly, Miss Dolly"
- It is learned that Jackson's full name is Jackson Rod Stewart.
- A reference to the Olsen Twins is made in this episode and in the It's My Party And I'll Lie If I Want To episode.
- At the end of the episode as the reporter leaves, Robby Ray approaches her wearing a mullet wig, saying "Hi, I'm Billy Ray Cyrus.". The lady quickly leaves afterwards. The Robby Ray Stewart character is really played by Billy Ray Cyrus.
- When Robby Ray says "a full house", he is referring to the Olsen twins playing Michelle in (Full House)
- Near the end of the episode, when Jackson leaves (he is wearing a costume similar to Elvis) telling his dad about the Swedish massage leaving Robby Ray complaining, Miley tells Robby Ray that Elvis has left the building, a reference to one of the films Billy Ray Cyrus starred at named "Elvis Has Left the Building."
- Cory in the House has an episode call The New Kid in School.
- It's been known Nibbly watches Buzzly Numpkins 3. This is a movie for little kids.
- Jackson says he'll take Nibbly to the fair which Nibbly hates and has a fear of rollar-coasters.
- Nibbly is known to say Oooh when someone gets their full name used. Example: Jackson Rod Stewart! Nibbly: Oooh Jackson Rod Stewart.....
