Route 38 is a state highway in the southern part of the U.S. state of New Jersey. It extends from the Airport Circle where it intersects U.S. Route 30, U.S. Route 130, and Route 70 in Pennsauken to an intersection with U.S. Route 206 in Southampton.
Route 38 was originally planned to be a freeway crossing the state of New Jersey. Route 138 was originally numbered as a segment of this Route 38 freeway, but was renumbered when it became apparent the freeway would not be completed.
