Route 172 is a state highway in New Jersey, United States. It is an old section of Route 18 that was bypassed in 1953 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. It runs from an intersection with NJ 18 to Commercial Avenue along George Street. It is entirely concurrent with County Route 527.
