New Found Power was the debut album by the band Damageplan.
New Found Power was also the original name of the band but was changed prior to the album's release.
Many of the lyrical themes on New Found Power very obviously deal with the breakup of Pantera (of which guitarist Dimebag Darrell and drummer Vinnie Paul were an integral part) and the forming of Damageplan. This is most evident in the songs "Breathing New Life" and "New Found Power", although almost all songs contain what appear to be references to Pantera and Phil Anselmo.
Some have also claimed how chillingly accurate and ironic most of the songs' lyrics and song titles are in relation to the murder of Darrell.
