New Faces (Australian)

- This article is about the Australian show. For the British show, see New Faces.
New Faces was an Australian version of the British show of the same name. It was produced during the 1970s, experiencing the transition from black and white to colour. Many of its contestants later became famous, including Daryl Somers and Col Elliott. The 'third judge' was Bernard King, who played the same role that Simon Cowell plays in American Idol. Bernard King remains the highest paid entertainer in Australian history (when adjusted for inflation).
The show was hosted for a time by Bert Newton.
