New College of California School of Law

New College of California School of Law is a private, non-profit law school in San Francisco, California. It was founded in 1973 as a part of the recently founded New College of California, and deems itself the oldest public interest law school in the United States. The full-time student body averages roughly 140 students. Offers a full-time three year program and part-time four year program.

Many well-known lawyers and activists have taught and studied at the school, including Roberta Achtenberg, Stephen Bingham, Angela Davis, Tom Hayden, Peter Gabel, and Ora Prochovnik.

New College of California's School of Law is accredited by the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California, but does not have or currently seek accreditation by the American Bar Association.
