[edit] Summary
A form of Image:Avalon fullmap.gif highlighting the 'Irish Shore' area of the Avalon peninsula. Please monkey around with this if I've highlighted too much or two little – I'm going strictly by the verbal indication in en:Irish Newfoundlanders that the Irish Shore extends from Carbonear to Renfrews. - Hi saw the map you added to the page, nice job. One small comment, the area of the Irish shore is larger than you have marked. See http://www.irishloop.nf.ca/about_zone_location.asp for the additional area. The Irish shore extends from Carbonear south to Renews and to both sides of St. Mary's Bay. The Irish shore is larger than the Irish Loop. Jcmurphy 01:22, 3 October 2005 (UTC)

- Thats excellent, but the Irish Shore also extends around to the west side of St. Mary's Bay to the communities of Branch and St. Bride's. See http://www.naturetreks.ca/MapAV.htm St. Bride's is commonly accepted as the last community on the Irish Shore. I mentioned Renews, because along with Ferryland it is one of the main Irish communites on the coast. Jcmurphy 02:16, 3 October 2005 (UTC)
