[edit] Plot

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Last season saw Lahey and Randy go with Julian to where they hoped to put Ricky: in jail. Now, three months later, they are released from prison a week earlier than expected. Meanwhile, hired by Barb Lahey, due to his past experience as an owner, Ricky has been the Trailer Park Supervisor for the past three months and is enjoying the salary of $1500 bucks a month. Bubbles has been both Assistant and Weekend Trailer Park Supervisor, but he is confused as to what Ricky is planning as of now. With free reign to do whatever he wants, Ricky has built a wall around the supervisor's trailer at the edge of the park that he has opened to no one. Upon learning that Julian is coming home early, he and Bubbles panic, turning to Ray, Cory, and Trevor for a transport truck to remove all the dope plants out of the trailer before Julian returns home. Ricky assigns Bubbles to distract Julian until they are finished by drinking with him. Bubbles reluctantly agrees, just as Julian appears. The plan seems to work, until Bubbles gets drunk and starts sings loud, inappropriate songs on his guitar to anybody that will listen.

Lahey and Randy finally return to Sunnyvale and are stunned to see Ricky living (platonically) with Lucy, Trinity and Sarah in the supervisor's trailer. In a cruel twist of irony, they are forced, like Ricky, to live in their car at a vacant lot at the edge of the park. Julian has grown tired of Bubbles' drinking and singing, so he goes to Ricky's trailer to get some answers; the same time as Lahey and Randy call the cops on the grounds that Ricky is growing dope. Officer George Green arrives in the park and inspects the trailers, only to find nothing. It turns out that Cory and Trevor had moved the dope away and did not screw up! Lahey is given a stern lecture by Green about wasting his time and false alarms. Bubbles, still drunk, begins singing to Green and is warned not to play another note or else spend the night in the drunk tank, which Bubbles does. Julian deliberately mouths off at Green to be with Bubbles, and while there, he learns that Ricky had indeed been growing dope in his trailer.

[edit] Title

The title of the episode is derived from the classic children's tale The Boy Who Cried Wolf. In George Green's lecture, he refers to the supposed prank call as a "shitwolf," and that "nobody comes because nobody cares." Lahey is forced to state the lesson he has learned (obviously lying): "Never cry shitwolf."

[edit] Trivia

  • This is the first time Bubbles gets busted in the series, although he does not go to jail until Working Man (episode).
  • This is the second time Julian deliberately allows himself to be taken away by the cops.
