[edit] Punctuation

  • I think there is an overuse of quotation marks here. Can I clean them up? Cnwb 04:42, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)
    • It does look unsightly. However, the quotation marks are there to emphasise that those are the words and names that the Neurocam web site(s) and mail messages use. They really are quotations, strictly speaking. Moreover, if you remove the quotation marks from the made-up names, it's a fair bet that someone will then come along and redlink them. Uncle G 05:12, 2005 Feb 11 (UTC)
      • Fair call. But what about the quotes regarding speculations on what Neurocam is - ie. "I bet it's a free trial version of AOL 10.0". It's not made clear as to who said these things. Perhaps some quotes from that article in The Age might be better. Cnwb 05:39, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)
        • I took them off some web-based discussion boards. They should be pretty easy to locate via Google Web if you want to add hyperlinks for attribution. Just be careful, though, as hyperlinks to such places have a tendency to break rapidly. I'm rather suspicious of the article in The Age. It seemed rather too credulous. That's why I didn't use it. Uncle G 05:57, 2005 Feb 11 (UTC)

[edit] Robert Henley

I removed the wikilinks on Robert Henley, as it linked to an artcle about a different Robert Henley. Neurocam's Robert Henley is most likely a fictional character.

[edit] Misappropriation of grant money

What is the source of the information on misappropriation of grant money? I have read numerous reports of this information being fabricated. If a source cannot be cited, I think this information should be deleted. Cnwb 23:15, 24 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Members of Neurocam (past and present)

Please cite the sources for this information, and for the existences of these people. As Cnwb said above, if a source cannot be cited, this information should be removed. Uncle G 22:29, 2005 May 3 (UTC)

  • No sources have been cited in 8 months. I have removed the material. Please cite sources if you wish to include such material in an article. Uncle G 21:27, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Misinformation?

"A recently leaked report by a former member[6] , revealed neurocam to be an artistic iniative by a group of melbourne artists." Yes, there is a report. The information in the report is not backed up by any proof. The link for this source also is incorrect. I advise it be removed.

[edit] Deletion?

While there may well be problems with the article itself, it may be better to suggest how it's improved rather than simply deleting it. Neurocam is quite a worldwide phenomena, certainly popular enough to warrant inclusion. Since they are a secret society we have little to draw on, and therefore there may be little to write an article with. There are two decent sources out there. One is the Age Article (Australian periodical) as well as the Blog of the person mentioned in that same article. --Jarvisbaird 21:58, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

  • I agree. The article may be flawed but the phenomenon is more than deserving of a page and there are legit sources to back most of the information up. - Schrandit 02:08, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
  • Okay, so we're agreed to delete the "deletion" bit but I think people should indicate the issues they have with the article at this point in time (probably by using the headers we have on the discussion page as well as creating new ones where necessary. --Jarvisbaird 21:28, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
  • I suggest that this article is deleted. I don't believe it provides anything of value to Wikipedia. The article is too short and too unclear for having any value.

[edit] Reactions

The reactions published on this page, while completely genuine, are clearly biased and not meant to be taken seriously. If anyone truely thinks that these quotes show a fair and unbaised representation of neurocam then feel free to re-add them.

[edit] Neurocam.net

While the article here is on the "neurocam.com" site, should perhaps a mention be made of the ".net" site? The last of the statements in the disclaimer say that neurocam is not "neurocam.net" On the other hand, the application e-mail on the .net site has no label saying it's out of order, and has a different content.Dead Horse 03:05, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Neurocam.net was recently acquired by Neurocam.com - the .net site will re-direct to .com to lessen the confusion of members new and old to Neurocam International.GibbyPhD 13:25, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Management of Neurocam (past)

I suggest that the Managment section is deleted since it cannot be backed up that it actually exists. No one even knows whether Neurocam is "real" or fictious, therefor it seems silly to have a management of Neurocam when we don't even know what neurocam is.

[edit] Still active?

The most recent date in the article is in 2005 and most are from 2004. Is this 'project' still active? Is the billboard still up? Pimlottc 02:10, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

I have no idea, but I'd really like to know - how would we go about finding out? - Schrandit 20:51, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
