Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. The links you added to the page A Christmas Carol have been removed. Please do not add commercial links—or links to your own private websites—to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. Mwanner | Talk 00:52, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- You mean, a commercial website like this with 2 big google ads, a donation button, a "Purchase on CD" request and a false link text (this version is not searchable) is ok but a special version of the "Christmas Carol" for easy reading is Spam? -- net 19:18, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] removing links from English language learning and teaching
Hi -
Can you explain why you removed two of the resource links from the English language learning and teaching page?
It's not a big deal to me, but I thought that an additional resource link for the "Non-Native English Speakers in TESOL Caucus" was far preferable to having a whole page for that topic, which is where it was before.
