What is the source for the claim that the Dutch sanctioned the name West Papua? Here is the text of the ordinances of 1961 dealing with the new flag and anthem, but clearly not with the name; they explicitly speak of the "flag of Netherlands New Guinea", not of "West Papua". --Wik 22:07, May 4, 2004 (UTC)

Yes, that would seem to be more correct. Also, I don't think the discussion about what happened after Dutch rule belongs in this article at all. --Wik 22:14, May 4, 2004 (UTC)
