Netherton is a village in Oxfordshire. Its name means "lower hill", from Old English neotherra "lower, nether" and dun "hill". The name was recorded as Netendon in 1193.

It is primarily a residential town. The local police force is Thames Valley Police, and the Chiltern Air Support Unit also covers this patch.
