The Netherlands is a country in Europe.
Netherlands may also mean:
- Kingdom of the Netherlands, consisting of the Netherlands, the Netherlands Antilles, and Aruba
- United Provinces, also known as "The Seven United Netherlands", or Dutch republic predecessor of the current country (1581–1795)
- The Seventeen Netherlands, a personal union of 15 released fiefs of the Holy Roman Empire and 2 of France, roughly corresponds with present day Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, bits of Germany and parts of Northern France
- The Low Countries.
- Southern Netherlands, the territory roughly corresponding to present day Belgium from the independence of the Seven Netherlands to the French Revolution
- Spanish Netherlands (1579–1713)
- Austrian Netherlands (1713–1794)
- United Kingdom of the Netherlands (1815–1830, 1839), unofficial name created during the Congress of Vienna in 1815 and made up of the "United Provinces" and the "Southern Netherlands"
