Netaim (נטעים) is a moshav located in Israel's Coastal Plain, about 4 km south of the city of Rishon LeZion. Its name, which refers to plants, is derived from I Chronicles 4:23, "These were the potters, and those that dwelt among plants and hedges; there they dwelt with the king for his work."
Netaim was founded in 1932 by people from other moshavim (plural for moshav) in the south of the country. It was originally named Kfar Vatikim, i.e., "Veterans' Village", indicating that the founders were old-timers in the country and not new immigrants. The moshav has an area of 1100 dunams (1.1 km²), approximately 250 acres, and a population of 216 (1989.
