Net Music Countdown
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Net Music Countdown is a radio show hosted by David Lawrence that counts down the most popular music on the internet over the past week. Syndicated on over 70 radio stations and both satellite radio services in partnership with United Stations, the shows countdown the hottest hits on the Internet, with flavors for alternative rock, CHR (top 40) and Hot AC (adult contemporary). Each show is based on in-house research and those charts are licensed as their eTracks Charts by AllAccess.com, for which Lawrence edits the weekly Internet/Digital Music tracking. The NMC eTracks Charts are widely considered the official music charts of the Internet. Reporters to the eTracks include Apple's iTunes Music Store, AandE.com Radio, About Radio, Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, BellSouth.com, Bolt Radio, B&N Radio, CDNow.com, Gracenote/CDDB, Launch.Yahoo.com, MusicMatch.co, Radio Free Virgin, Radio Lycos, Real One, Radio@AOL, The RadioAMP Network, and over 40 other performance licensed Internet sales and streaming outlets. Both TechTV and CNET use the NMC top 5 for their weekly look at Net music popularity.
