NESTRANS

NESTRANS (The North East of Scotland Transport Partnership) and is a group set up by the Scottish Executive to create plans for proposed developments in the transport network around Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire in Scotland. There are six other similar groups covering the rest of Scotland.

Effectively a pressure group, NESTRANS is officially labeled as a Voluntary regional transport partnership. It makes plans then lobbies the various government departments that are responsible for the Scottish Transport network.

Currently it is particularly involved in the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route and planning for the Aberdeen Crossrail project.
