User talk:Nergal-Behemoth

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi, the Epic metal article was recently deleted through the Articles for deletion process. I've redirected the page to Power metal, per the AfD decision. Deizio talk 21:23, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

  • I don't think it's a good idea. The debate - Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Epic metal (2nd nomination) - boiled down to "Epic metal" being too ill-defined and subjective a term. A lot of editors have expressed opinions about what it means, and in the end it was deemed unworkable to have an article with this title. You can ask others in the WP metal community and check for previous discussions at WP:HMM and its talk page. You could also look into deletion review. In the meantime, I have to stick with the status quo. If an article is deleted for e.g. being purely an advert but is then recreated in compliance with policy, it can usually be allowed. The problem here lies with the subject, rather than content, of the article. Deizio talk 21:41, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Images

Hey. You have uploaded a lot of images without specifying the source. Please add the link where you found the picture to the description, or otherwise these will be deleted sooner or later. Thanks, Prolog 21:44, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hmm

I'm surprised we have to revisit this, but as "Epic metal" has been deleted it is unworkable to create a list of epic metal bands. Adding references linked to Epic metal is also incorrect, as you are well aware this term redirects to power metal. You obviously don't agree, but Wikipedia runs on consensus, and a consensus has been reached in this case which you seem unwilling to follow. Continually acting in this manner could lead to limitations on your ability to edit Wikipedia. I would also back up Prolog's comment about images - please cease uploading and read the relavant criteria about images, tagging images and copyright. There are legal implications to uploading unlicensed images. Deizio talk 21:53, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

You should also read up on WP:MUSIC. The article Raging Storm does not appear to meet the criteria outlined there. I'll have a look at some of your other edits to see if I can identify any other possible problems. Deizio talk 22:04, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Completely incidentally, you've misspelled "length" as "lenght" at least three times. Does your browser have a rogue spellchecker? Deizio talk 22:33, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Raging Storm

I've listed the above, should survive if you can bring it in line with WP:V and WP:MUSIC but in any case will give you an idea of how the deletion process works. Please be sure to note you are the creator of the article if you join the debate. Deizio talk 22:31, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Paradise lost cover.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Paradise lost cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] AfD nomination of Brocas Helm

An editor has nominated Brocas Helm, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brocas Helm and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. --Tikiwont 15:59, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
