The Neqa'el are Greek and Egyptian cat demons. These demons are ferocious, but fight only when necessary. They are Egyptian gods and were worshipped heavily. Anyone who sought to do any harm to a cat was punished with a month-long torture that eventually ended in death as punishment for offending these gods. The demon in human form has long canine teeth, and a fierce and quick tongue.
