Nepenthes × harryana Burb. (1882) |
Nepenthes × harryana (after Harry Veitch, last member of the well known horticultural firm of Veitch & Sons) is a natural hybrid involving two closely related species, N. edwardsiana and N. villosa. It is only known from a ridge above the upper Kolopis River and two small colonies along the summit trail of Mount Kinabalu. It was originally described as N. harryana by Burbidge, but Macfarlane, realising that it was not a species, reduced it to hybrid status in his 1908 monograph.
