Nepenthes neoguineensis (Latin/New Latin: Neo Guine = New Guinea, -ensis = from) is a species of tropical pitcher plant belonging to the genus Nepenthes. As its name suggests, N. neoguineensis occurs on the island of New Guinea. It has also been recorded from the D'Entrecasteaux Islands.
N. neoguineensis grows on river edges, river gravel bars, ridge crests, and rarely in open grassland or disturbed forest. It has a wide altitudinal distribution, occurring from sea-level to an elevation of 900 or even 1400 m.[1]
