Nepenthes bongso (Indonesian: after Putri Bungsu = youngest daughter; referring to local legend of the spirit guardian of Mount Marapi) is a highland Nepenthes pitcher plant species, native to Sumatra, where it grows at an altitude of 1000-2700 m. It is very similar to N. carunculata and there is much debate about whether the two should be treated as separate species.
