The Nepal Stock Exchange is the primary stock exchange of Nepal. It is located in Kathmandu and currently lists 125 equities. The stock exchange, abbreviated to "NEPSE", is owned by the Government of Nepal, Nepal Rastra Bank, the Nepal Industrial Development Corporation and other members of the exchange.

Stock trading in Nepal began with the issuance of shares by Biratnagar Jute Mills and Nepal Bank in 1937. The Securities Exchange Center opened in 1976, and was converted into the Nepal Stock Exchange in 1993.
