User talk:NeoCoronis

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm sorry if there is a confusion here, you may want to talk to Essjay who ran the checkuser request. I must express suspicion that your cousin engaged in identical edits to MetaStar as soon as Meta was blocked and happen to (at minimum) use the same network (not having access to the checkuser data I have no idea how similar the relevant information is). I would request that you don't revert to any of MetaStar's edits until this gets cleared up. I will also unblock Marvelous if she makes the same promise. JoshuaZ 23:52, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Legacy of Fire

Well i keep removing it because I don't think that jena needs to be there...It is about the Phoenix force itself not about her hosts, her only one true host that needs to be there is jean grey and rachel summers, not jena because she is not about the phoenix. Now for Giruad, i think he should be there because it links the phoenix to the future. We all know that phoenix force disappeared after Jean Grey died, and then into Rachel, but then the force disappears, so Giraud is the future link. Jena shouldn't be there because she is in a different world, and it doesn't even talk about the phoenix force as an enity, but a sword. Phoenix isn't a sword it is an enity also i have to mention that you said the Jena was phoenix's first host, but it isn't feron was the first to contact it and Jean was it's first host, in any reality.

[edit] Ok

JoshuaZ, I appreciate the sincerity. I never reverted to any of his edits before, I don't see why I would start now. And Shelby (User:MarvelousGirl) had been looking over my shoulder as I cruised the discussion pages (I like to see what people on this site talk about, and see if I can help), so she saw the Rachel Summers page too, and despite my warnings jumped into the editting. But the point is kind of moot. She got really hurt (she thought you were being nice to her earlier for her help, she showed me her talk page where you thanked her. Then she gets blocked) and she doesn't want to be apart of wikipedia. Shelby said that she'll leave it "to folks with thicker skin." If we get this fixed, what should I do about having two user names (I couldn't think of anyway to get in touch with you without being able to post in your talk page, and since Coronis was blocked, I made NeoCoronis so I could leave a message). I hope we can get this fixed, becuase I have been trying to finish up the list of MC2 comic character articles that I want to create (I'm down to the LadyHawks and Raptor). NeoCoronis 02:40, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Well, just use one of them, and send my apologies to her and hope that she rejoins us as soon as this is cleared up. (Incidentally the easiest way to get in touch with soemone when blocked is to email them using the "E-mail this user" feature or just use an IP). (On that topic, I suggest you email Essjay and discuss this with him off wiki, because checkuser details often involved IP and other private information that you may not want to have discussed in detail directly on Wiki). JoshuaZ 02:52, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh and about two user names, don't worry about it, as long as you only use one you're fine, you may want to look at WP:SOCK for more info about that. JoshuaZ 02:55, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Could I use a redirect on one username to the other? NeoCoronis 03:14, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

I don't know much about user name sock issues, the relevant policy is WP:SOCK. If I were you, I'd be more concerned with clearing up the checkuser issue with Essjay and then worry about that. JoshuaZ 02:49, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nope.

I know the series you're talking about, but it wasn't entitled Amazing X-Men (GCD search for Amazing X-Men, for reference...). And, as the upload page clearly tells you in a big red-lined box, you can't take images off of websites, you have to scan them yourself. And if you actually HAD the comic, you wouldn't have made that mistake, so I'm not telling you what it was called, since that means it deserves to be deleted anyway.

In summary, don't you DARE tell me to check my facts when I have and you haven't. - ExcaliDragon 21:08, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Mirage Gaogamon.jpg)

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Mirage Gaogamon.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Ta! Sabine's Sunbird talk 03:27, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

  • The image will automatically be deleted in 5 days if nothing is done, so no worries. As for letting you know, well, I'm always grateful when people (or bots) remind me to tag my images properly. I'm kind of absentminded and forget! Sabine's Sunbird talk 03:34, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:BoP98.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:BoP98.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:05, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Amalgam pages

Why exactly are you creating all of these Amalgam pages? One-time characters for a short lived crossover event aren't that notable for Wikipedia. Considering most Amalgam characters made one or two appearances on average, these pages aren't helping a whole lot. RobJ1981 02:06, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

Most of them were already created, I was just improving them, I've only made two. NeoCoronis 02:15, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Comic art

If you're going to keep uploading comic book scans, would you please add the names of the artists? (if you need help identifying them, try consulting [1] and [2]) Thanks. -leigh (φθόγγος) 21:57, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Which ones are you referring too? I add artist credits on most all of my contribuitons. NeoCoronis 02:33, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Images

That's a good image for Misfit.

Concerning Batgirl: it's not so much the quality of the scan, as it is that Batgirl's recent status as a villain has been controversal and unpopular with most of her fans, and I think the other image is more representative of her.

Furthermore, Damion Scott (the artist of the image) is the artist who's the most associated with Cass. --DrBat 19:44, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, NeoCoronis! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. [edit] Unspecified source for Image:BlackLeopard.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:BlackLeopard.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 08:54, 23 March 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

(You'll need to give the exact link on art.com, showing the image, author and public domain status. You may not release copyrighted works of others into the public domain without their explicit permission. Any physical copies of the work does not transfer the copyright of the work to you.)
