[edit] re: Moderator List

Hello everyone, this is Sold, a moderator on Neo. I was wondering why the moderator list was removed. I found it quite useful and nice to see our names on it, and yet it's gone. What happened? I may flag it down because of it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Spore (talkcontribs) 21:27, 5 May, 2006 (UTC).

"The list of moderators on Neoseeker is very large..." - Maybe that could be the reason? If so that could be amended by adding a separate page for a list of Neo mods. Hieros 13:07, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Sold: Didn't see that change. That is very true, and moderators are always changing as in demoting, promoting, temporary stints, etc. I also came to the list once and did some fixing because someone had vandalized some of the moderators names. I'm not sure what we could do to prevent that from happening and keeping it updated at the same time. =/ —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Spore (talkcontribs) 02:06, 10 May 2006 (UTC).
Probably not much. Maybe lock it, and keep a tag on the page as to the last time it was updated. Hieros 13:08, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Since moderators are forum specific, a complete list of all current moderators would be rather limited in its usefulness. ~xenc. (talk) at 18:56, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

There are well over 300 moderator positions, changing on a weekly basis. Listing them all (And attempting to keep it accurate) would be a great waste of time. There is no ability to filter the public user list to only show moderators, so much of it would be purely guesswork from what people have seen on their time around the forums. Building on Ren's points, it's also important to determine the overall relevance of such a list. I can't really see it as entirely necessary to have in the article. It's probably for the best though, we'd have a hell of a time keeping it updated! ~xenc. (talk) at 21:01, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] re: Super Moderators

The Neoseeker account Jeevan will soon be merged with Xenctuary, and therefore will no longer exist. To save inaccurate information from being present in the article I've updated the username. ~xenc. (talk) at 18:58, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

Wasn't aware of this, sorry for undoing your edit ^^; --RenOfHeavens 20:34, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
Partly my fault, I should have added an appropriate summary to the edit. Never mind, no harm done =D ~xenc. (talk) at 21:03, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
Account was never merged, please leave it as Jeevan as it causes confusion. RenOfHeavens 20:07, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Neoseeker Subsites

The article currently does not mention any of the platform specific subsites (for example, Xboxseeker). Would it be worth adding them in? ~xenc. (talk) at 15:58, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup

This article requires a huge cleanup in terms of grammar and layout. In some cases information is not entirely factual or is clumsily written. I'm slowly going through each section and would appreciate a hand. Cheers. ~xenc. (talk) at 15:29, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Moderator lists and other unneeded details

Generally speaking, forum articles on Wikipedia should avoid unnecessary details that a normal reader would not care about. Lists of moderators is one of these things. --- RockMFR 17:35, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
