Nemom is a place on the southern outskirts of Trivanadrum (Thiruvananthapuram), the capital Kerala state, India.It lies 8 km south of the city, on the main arterial highway leading to the southernmost tip of India, Cape Comorin (Kanyakumari). Nemom now falls within the municipal corporation of Trivandrum, though one portion of the area is exclusive. Nemom has a police station, an Indian Medicine System clinic, a higher secondary school, a sub-registrar's office, village office and a post office. It is connected with Trivandrum, Neyyattinkara, Vizhinjam, Poovar, Kattakkada, Nagarcoil, and Kanyakumari by numerous buses. Nemom is the site of of a small wayside railway station, but few express trains stop there. There are two banks, an ATM counter belonging to the State Bank of Travancore and a market nearby. Nemom telephone exchange is located at Vellayani, one furlong off from Nemom.Moreover nemom is blessed with natural beauty .A small hill named "Mukkunnimala" is hardly 3 kms from nemom. Nemom is a best place to settle down away from the rush-an-jams of city.
A military training division of Indian Army, which is coming under Pangode Army Camp is there at nemom, just two kilometers from the Nemom Junction. All the people at nemom are very helpfull and co-operative. People of various religion are residing here with good harmony.
