- My humblest apologies, Nelson50. How about this? Next time I'm around I'll share a pint of the dark stuff with you. We'll get pissed, yell at some football match, and pass out in the road. Some crazy guy will try to rob us, and we'll stab him to death and wind up toiling our life away in an jail somewhere. Again, welcome and slainte! --Lord Voldemort (Dark Mark) 13:39, 29 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Note
Absolutely. Your user page looks very good for a newbie, and you are already adding things too. ( I personally got off to a slow start adding articles.) Well, nice chatting, see your around. : )

[edit] Thanks for catching my typo!
Hi Nelson50, thanks for catching my typo in change management this morning. Obviously, if I am misspelling capitalization in an edit summary, I need to start cutting back on my caffeine intake!
I hope you are enjoying contributing to Wikipedia. If I can add any assistance beyond Lord V's initial welcome, please let me know... Mamawrites 21:42, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks,
Cheers Nelson50, The Rugby pages for the Irish Teams need a good bit of Work, I made up a template at Template:Rugby Team infobox based on the Soccer template, and added it to Leinster and Munster. Will get around to Ulster and Connacht as soon as I can...Might even throw it onto a few of the other Heineken and Celtic League Teams.

[edit] Iceland
Hi Nelson, I responded to your edits on my talk page.
I see that you are from Ireland. I hear almost nothing but good things about Ireland. My friend has family in county Cork and I think my family hails from county Roscommon, but I am not positive. I hope to take to trip there one day. Regards —MJCdetroit 14:07, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Appreciation
Thank you for your kind words on 68.98.103.108's talk page. I find that even the most seemingly intransigent vandals and spammers can mellow out with a little diplomacy. Your support in the matter is appreciated. Feezo (Talk) 09:57, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Dublin port tunnel pics
Hey three - got your comment re the tunnel and pics. Have a look at this link on google maps, it shows you exactly where I am, and what I can see. In any case I will bring my camera in to work tomorrow (Wed. 9th May), snap what I can, upload it here and give you the links on this talk page. Smitz 08:10, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
Excellent work on the Dublin Port Tunnel article. Bastun 18:14, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your VandalProof Application
Dear Nelson50,
Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact with the new 1.1 version release it has even more power. As such we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that not enough mainspace edits. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again in the not too distant future. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. [edit] RE: County Kerry
No worries! Btw, I noticed above that you were looking to try the vandalproof program. Check out Popups (Wikipedia:Tools/Navigation popups) - it's got some features that are helpful for vandal fighting. --AbsolutDan (talk) 02:22, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ken Standfield
Sure I'll take a look. This one may be tricky though - he's making several claims to fame, including his authorship. I'll see what I can do! --AbsolutDan (talk) 23:56, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
P.S. thanks for the complement! :) --AbsolutDan (talk) 00:10, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm... I hate to say it, but this guy does seem notable enough for his own articles. I did a bit of research and his name and mentions of his books are all over the place. Believe me, I hate vanity articles with a passion, and there's recommendations against creating them, but they're not policy and not grounds for deletion (unfortunately!). I'll see what I can do about his other edits though. I'll keep ya posted --AbsolutDan (talk) 00:18, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mesh routing
Hi Nelson! I intentionally added funkfeuer to the list since the OTHER external links are ALSO there. I thought we had come to an agreement, that the external links should not point to some (randomly chosen) MANETs out there and not to others. Instead we have a nice article about "list of wireless mesh networks". Funkfeuer and others belong there. Fine with me. But if somebody puts "his" mesh network there, then sure enough you will have to deal with the question "why his/her net but not mine?" and frankly, you really have very little objective ground to leave in one but exclude the other.
So, the safe bet is to delete them all and link to "list of wireless mesh networks"
cheers, aaron.
ps: and banning. ... pfew... how come you allow yourself to put your know how on top of others and dare to threaten to ban somebody else how knows quite a lot about these topics?
sorry, wikipedia is dying because of police guys like you. And to be honest, without police guys it would die also. well well...
