Nelson Davis

Nelson Davis (c. 1843 - 1888) was the second husband of African-American abolitionist Harriet Tubman. Davis was a former slave and a Union veteran of the American Civil War.

In 1869 he married Tubman, who was 23 years older than he was. They built a house on State Street in Auburn, New York, where they lived together until Nelson died after 19 years of marriage.
