Nellimarla is a village and Mandal located in Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh state in south India.[1]

Nellimarla is located on the banks of River Champavati at 18.10° N 83.25° E.[2] It has an average elevation of 190 metres (626 feet).

Nellimarla Mandal had a population of 73,753 in 2001. Males constitute 36,657 of the population and females 37,096. Nellimarla has an average literacy rate of 51%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 62%, and female literacy is 41%.

There are 33 revenue villages and 28 panchayats in Nellimarla mandal.

Nellimarla jute mill is one of the largest jute mills in Andhra Pradesh.

The Denkada Anicut[3] was constructed across Champavathi River during 1965-1968. The Project is located near Saripalli village, Nellimarla Mandal. The Project utilizes 0.640 TMC of the available water. The Ayacut of 5,153 Acres has been stabilised in Denkada and Bhogapuram Mandals of Vizianagaram District.

C.K.M.G.J College has been sending a brilliant and hard working persons for studies and organizes games every year in college and school level.

Nellimarla, especiall famous in uttara kosta andhra, for games. It has a big ground, beside a champavathi river.
