Hi. I am human, 27, and live in Wales. I have also lived in Krakow and Birmingham. I used to work for the NHS, and now work for the government (boooo). I made my first (logged in^[1]) edit on 31 March 2005^[2]. I am one of the 1,164 admins on this Wikipedia. Feel free to ask me any questions relating to any of my admin actions - or any other actions - either via my talk page, or email me.

Stuff I do

Making articles that have been requested for a long time.
Wikifying articles (it's very Zen).
- (but also check if they're evil copyvios)
Creating List of hospitals in Wales, and individual pages for each Trust (not hospital, yet, that's phase 2).
Clearing out requests to edit protected pages

I am a member of the Association of Wikipedians Who Dislike Making Broad Judgements About the Worthiness of a General Category of Article, and Who Are In Favor of the Deletion of Some Particularly Bad Articles, but That Doesn't Mean They are Deletionist.

I also think Wikipedia has around 800,000 articles more than it need have, therefore I am a founder member of the Association of Redirectionist Wikipedians.

Adoption?

I adopt new users who request it, with the aim of ~~creating an army of mindless drones who will do my evil bidding.~~ helping out new people. I will probably only pick those who know where the shift key is. Right now, adoption is closed, as I have 7 (my lucky number), although at least a few will be fine on their own very soon indeed. Then I'll reopen for business.

I haven't uploaded that many photos, and would like to do more, but the ones I have are in User:Proto/images.
The War on Drugs and the War on Terrorism pale into comparison with the War on 'had had'. All must die! (or better still, be rewritten to avoid such a technically correct but butt-ugly abuse of the English language). I identify the culprits here.

Accounts

I have little used accounts on Meta (here), wiktionary (here), the French Wikipedia, (ici), which I use very rarely, but want to use more to better my French, and the Dutch Wikipedia (shtop), despite not speaking Dutch. There was a good reason, I forget what it was now.

Self love

Pages I am quite proud to have started (or completely scrapped and rewritten). Not that I'm not proud of other pages I've started (it's over 400 now), but these are special for some reason or another. No particular order.
