[edit] Pictures vs text

I'm thinking this article is a little overloaded with pictures right now. I myself have been waiting until springtime to get some new pictures of the city (and other places) because things will look much nicer then. In the meantime, could we please work on fleshing this article out with more text? I've got a reference site that I'm going to put up that we can use as a starting point.
