Personal life and career

He is married to Zsuzsanna Clark (née Feczko), a freelance writer. [3]
Positions
Clark describes himself as an "unreconstructed leftie". [4]
He opposes British and U.S. policy in the Balkans and the Middle East. He has defended the late Yugoslav President Slobodan Milošević, whom he describes as a prisoner of conscience, [5] believing he was "done to death" by poison and that "[w]e are dealing here with murder". [6] He objects to same-sex marriage, an open-door immigration policy, and free abortion on demand. [7] He supports renationalization of railways and hopes that Iran will build nuclear weapons, believing a nuclear-armed Iran would not be very dangerous.[8]
He was quoted by South African President Thabo Mbeki for statistics on living conditions in the former Communist states of Eastern Europe after 1989. [9]
Lawsuit
In 2006 Clark attempted to sue the writer Oliver Kamm for comments Kamm had made on his blog [10] following a critical review of Oliver Kamm's book, published by the Daily Telegraph in 2005.[11]
