Neil Burnside

Neil Burnside is a fictional character in the UK TV series The Sandbaggers. He was played by Roy Marsden.

Burnside is the Director of Operations for Britain's Secret Intelligence Service (SIS, also known as MI6). He is a former Royal Marine and SBS operative. During his earlier career at SIS, Burnside was himself a Sandbagger and conducted special operations in the field. He is now in charge of the Sandbagger section and conducts operations in the equally dangerous corridors of Whitehall.
