Neftegorsk, Sakhalin Oblast

Neftegorsk (Нефтего́рск) was an oil-producing town in eastern Russia devastated on May 28, 1995, by an earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale, killing over 2,000 people and destroying two thirds of the town, located on Sakhalin Island.
