Neck and Neck is the collaborative album by Chet Atkins and Mark Knopfler. It released in 1990 by Columbia Records. The track "Poor Boy Blues" was released as a single.
Chet Atkins, who had already performed the song called "Yakety Axe", a parody of "Yakety Sax", on his old album, recorded this song again with lyrics and new arrangement that had been written by Merle Travis. He also recorded "I'll See You in My Dreams" already in his old album with Merle Travis, but he performed this song again in a new arrangement with Knopfler.
Although this is technically not a solo album by Knopfler, he still wrote one song for this album.
