Near North Side is a Historic Neighborhood on the North part of Houston, Texas. Primarily occupied by people of Hispanic descent and recently a growing number of African-Americans.[citation needed] North Sides Boundaries are along Main St. and Lorraine all the way to Main and I-45. Also from Main all the way to Hardy St.

Many Schools are within Near North Side. Primarily Jefferson Davis High School on Quitman Street. Marshall Middle school is right across from Davis.
