Neaniskos

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Neaniskos is the Classic Greek word for "young man." It appears three times in the Greek New Testament, once in each of the three Synoptic Gospels: Mark 14:51, Matthew 19:16-22, Luke 7:14. It also appears in the controversial document known as the Secret Gospel of Mark, which seems to have been constructed from the three episodes listed here.

The word does not appear in the Gospel of John.
