Neal Magee

Neal Magee teaches philosophy at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York. He was born in 1969 and grew up in Orlando, Florida.

He attended Flagler College in Saint Augustine, Florida and received his Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey. He received his doctorate in religion from Syracuse University in 2004, writing his dissertation on the relationship between disavowal and confession in the works of Jacques Derrida and Slavoj Zizek.

In November, 2003, he presented "Junkspace: Theology Beyond Monumentality" at the national meeting of the American Academy of Religion in Atlanta, Georgia. This paper was published in a recent issue of Studies in Christian Ethics. He served as Assistant Editor to a forthcoming book by Routledge on Jean-Francois Lyotard. He is also the Technical Editor for the Journal for Cultural and Religious Theory.
