Neal Conan

Neal Conan (born 1949 in Beirut, Lebanon) is an American radio journalist. He has worked for National Public Radio as producer, editor, and correspondent. During the 1991 Gulf War he was captured by the Iraqi Republican Guard. Conan has hosted NPR's Talk of the Nation talk show since 2001. He is married to fellow NPR host Liane Hansen.

Neal Conan has been a recurring character in the Marvel Comic Universe, most notably during the 1988 'Fall of the Mutants' crossover, in which he documented the X-Men's apparent demise in Dallas, TX. (Uncanny X-Men #225-227) scripted by his long time friend Chris Claremont.

He also briefly appeared in the DC Comic universe in the series Sovereign Seven, also scripted by Claremont.
