I am Nuno Correia (full name: Nuno Gonçalo Bettencourt da Cruz Correia), a 21-year-old undergraduate student of Systems Engineering and Computer Science at the Minho University from Aveiro, Portugal. I'm absolutely not related to the guitar player although his family probably were neighbors with mine :)

I've been a Wikipedia user since its CamelCase days, even though I only registered in 2005.

[edit] What I've done for it
Well, not much. I like to perform grammar edits every once in a while when I'm browsing around. Lately I reviewed why the article Slam (band) was up for deletion; turned up it wasn't at all. D'oh! I'd say the intro to Terria was my original work, although the boring part was already done. As of April 2006 I've contributed around 70 times.
[edit] Reverts
- Jamie Foxx
- Atreyu, for which I've a proposed a vandalism protection which wasn't accepted

[edit] What it has done for me
- It's an invaluable source of knowledge.
- It is definitely the website I spend more time browsing, and the website I'll be browsing in less time: whenever I need to look up on something, it's my first stop.
- It helped me getting approval in my Discrete Mathematics I course back in 2002.
[edit] AZZ
See that article's history:
Azz is a famous guy from Aveiro, Portugal. He's most known as the portuguese chewbaka. He's also known for having virtually all the knowledge in the world. However he failed in the Macroeconomics course.
You can mostly see him on the Minho University or at the "Bar Académico"
He's a proud member of Centúria and he likes banana!!!
Azz is NOT a virgin (anymore).
Famous Quotes:
"A Centúria é uma família!"
Heh, that joke was on me. It was a prank pulled on me by a couple of friends of mine. Yes, I am the guy the article talks about. My nickname is, quite humiliatingly, 'azz'. Even more humiliating: yes, I did fail the Macroeconomics course. I told them such an edit wouldn't last long and I was right: Skidude9950 reverted it in six minutes!
[edit] Opinions
I joined this association because it has the best acronym ever:
This user is a member of the Association of Wikipedians Who Dislike Making Broad Judgements About the Worthiness of a General Category of Article, and Who Are In Favor of the Deletion of Some Particularly Bad Articles, but That Doesn't Mean They are Deletionist
The motto of the AWWDMBJAWGCAWAIFDSPBATDMTD is Est omnino difficile iudicare inclusionis meritum cuiusdam rei in encyclopædia cum ratio sciendi quid populi referat incerta sit, sed nihilominus aliquid encyclopædiam dedecet, which translates to "it is generally difficult to judge the worthiness of a particular topic for inclusion in an encyclopedia considering that there is no certain way to know what interests people, but some topics nevertheless are not fit for an encyclopedia." This motto reflects the desire of these Wikipedians to be reluctant, but not entirely unwilling, to remove articles from Wikipedia. |
Oh, and I agree with its view.
