Nawabganj is located at 23.6667° N 90.1667° E . It has 47411 units of house hold and total area 244.81 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^GRBangladeh, Nawabganj has a population of 269189. Males constitute are 49.31% of the population, and females 50.69%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 134813. Nawabganj has an average literacy rate of 34.5% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[1]
