Navegantes

Navegantes is a coastal and tourist city located in Santa Catarina state, Brazil.
The local airport serves other cities around including Blumenau.
Population: 49,000 people
Total area: 97 km²
Economy: The main activity is fishing industry and ship building. There is a private port in building, which must be ready on August 2007, it will be served by 4 berths (aprox. 900m straight) and focused on containered reefer cargo, due to Santa Catarina State have the biggest meat industry in Brazil.
