I've been working on the WP:KNOTS project for a bit and just noticed the featured knots on your portal. I like the idea. The knots project hasn't yet started doing article ratings, but I'm familiar with many of the knot articles. There are a couple that this portal is currently featuring which are not good articles. The trucker's hitch article is in particularly bad shape and probably should be removed for now. The bowline article is also not particularly good, especially relative to the general importance of the knot, but that's a harder call.

On the other hand, here are some great knots with a nautical heritage which have articles representing the direction I hope knotting articles on WP will be going... --Dfred 15:31, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

Buntline hitches	Jury mast knots	Sheepshank	Carrick bend
Constrictor knots	Turk's head knot

With no objections, I've added these knots and done some other minor cleanups on the existing pages. --Dfred 17:39, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
