I dont know how people can just hijack sanskrit terms and fit it to their fanciful notions of tradition. I am aware that this is being done by many experts on dance, but I prefer to use the term strictly according to its sanskrit meaning. This has implications for the language of sanskrit, and to its interpretation in the future. This term is used in many ancient work , we however have no proof that the reference has always been to Bharata's work.
